I Think It’s Thursday reel

This catchy tune is from the mind of Mike McGoldrick, and is not in Amajor but F#minor. I think McGoldrick really has a nack for making really nice tunes, and there’s something really groovy about the key of F#minor….

I’m not quite sure about the name of this tune, but I believe it might be called “I Think it’s Tuesday”, but I first heard it on a video on the KerryWhistles website, and couldn’t quite hear what he was saying.

If I got anything wrong, please do correct me…. It’s definitely not the most difficult tune in the world, being all pentatonic stuff and whatnot, but definitely good.

It’s one of the ones at the bottom titled “Mike John Jo & Ed 2008”, they’re playing at the Hammersmith.

It features on Mike’s latest album “Aurora”, last tune, first track.

Off Mike McGoldrick’s new album “Aurora” - it’s the final tune in the first track. Supposedly composed while bungee jumping in New Zealand. Amazing tune.

My take on it: X2, but with all C naturals. 🙂 I think it sounds kinda cool.

You realise that your setting doesn’t have any kind of c, natural or sharp, and that the tonal center isn’t A?
