Geez, I never responded to the comment about where I got this. Learned from the Moscow ID tune folks about 30 years ago now. Just saw one them at Seattle Folklife this year.

Spotted Pony

Yes, Old-Time, but I can’t find out where it came from originally…I’ve only know it for maybe a year or so but it’s very popular at Old-Time sessions, for example at Sore Fingers and at the Friends of American Old Time Music and Dance festival in Gainsborough UK every February.
