Sally in the Garden
This is another tune I learned from the Moscow (Idaho) music folks about 25 years ago. It really does have 9 bars. It’s best to go hear it on youtube, but I think these are the notes close enough.
nice in Dmajor, and without the 9th bars (arr. like this, it sounds more French-Canadian, less scandinavian? like)
It’s an old-timey appalachian tune I learned in gm and it’s very dark. I start it slow and creepy and then work it up till its a downright goat rodeo. I don’t know if this works for everyone but I go into a very up tempo farewell to milltown after this.
lets see if I can ABC how I play it
