    I would say he was from Orkney, Inkster is an Orkney name and Inganess is I think in this part of Scotland. Lots of Inksters in the island of Rousay, a beautiful island which can be reached by ferry from Tingwall. (You cld look up Hugh Inkster + fiddl...

    From the Cape Breton Violin Album. Composed by Hugh Inkster who I believe was a Fiddler. Does anyone know if he is still alive or not, if not when was he born and when did he die?
